Why I chose NYU Shanghai
Coming to China to study International Relations at NYU not only would give me the chance to learn a new language, but connect with one of the most important hubs of innovation in the world (not only technological, but also in governance), all while being surrounded by thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture.
Favorite spot/thing to do in Shanghai
My favorite thing to do in Shanghai is exploring the cities' different natural spots, like parks and gardens. But, still, my favorite is doing paddle board in the Huangpu river - right next to school.
Favorite quote or Advice to Applicants

Many of my essays when applying had nothing to do with my academic interests. I talked about color theory and elections in my homecountry, which showed different, and curious aspects about my personality and interests that reflect a lot of my character, beyond my grades and extracurricular. Be creative when telling your own story!

Fun fact about me

I actually wanted to be a painter, and applied to colleges with an art portfolio before discovering my passion for Diplomacy and International Relations.
